2007 Yahoo! Store Reviews -- Now is the time to check yourself

Snell_brothers_1Wow. Happy New Year, Yahoo! Store Peeps...

After doing that free Webinar with Monitus Mike, I've been totally swamped with Yahoo! Store Site Reviews.  I'm seeing so many of the same issues across all these Yahoo! Stores, that I thought I should post about it...

I address many of these issues in my column in next Yahoo! newsletter, but I'm going to share a little free pre-info with y'all. Click the link below to read some questions you should ask yourself about YOUR Yahoo! Store:

Take a look at your Yahoo! Store and see if can answer the following questions:
  • STATS -- Are you running 3rd party analytics or a stats package like Google Analytics or ClickTracks? If not, you need to be because Yahoo! only keeps six months worth of data and it hard to know how you're doing when you can't see a year's worth of stats. Take a look at Monitus.Net's Google bridge for Yahoo! Stores from my buddies, Mike & Jean!
  • TOP KEYWORDS -- Do you know your top 1000 converting keywords? Your top 5000? Do you know how you rank for these valuable, valuable keywords in Google, Yahoo, and MSN? Are you buying those converting keywords in your Google Adwords, Yahoo! Search Marketing, and MSN Adcenter campaigns?
  • UNIQUE CONTENT -- Are all your product CAPTIONS (descriptions) unique or are you using text supplied by your manufacturers? If you upload a database ofproduct descriptions, odds are many competitors have the EXACT same text on their sites and the search engines HATE this.
  • DOMAINS -- Do you have multiple domains pointed to the same store? Have you 301'ed (redirected) your Y! Store URLs to your domain? Have you fixed the WWW / non-WWW problem which affects every Yahoo! Store?

Now is the time to be doing the long-term things you NEED to be doing to be competitive in YOUR niche of the woods...

I'll be doing some more free webinars as soon as I can get caught up on all these new reviews, but in the meantime I ask folks to read my Yahoo! Store DUMMIES book because it's a really good place to start.

My comprehensive site analysis is pretty expensive ($2495), but it's pretty complete, too. I ask all new clients or prospects to read the Internet Marketing and SEO chapters at a minimum to make sure we're on the same page, and In the book, I cover a lot of things you can do yourself or check yourself.
Hope everyone is having a safe and prosperous 2007 so far!
